Distance Made is run by NAND Technologies AS, a company registered in Norway. These terms apply when you buy a poster on distancemade.com. They never give you fewer rights than the consumer law that applies to you.
Products and prices
- Digital poster to download: $15
- Printed poster, A3 (30 x 42 cm): $55
- Framed poster, 50 x 70 cm: $149
Prices are in US dollars and include shipping. For buyers in Norway the price includes 25% Norwegian VAT. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
Where we sell
For now we sell and ship to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway. Digital posters are sold to the same countries. We hope to add more countries later.
Gift cards
The $55 gift card covers a printed A3 poster, and the $149 gift card covers a framed 50 x 70 cm poster. Shipping to the countries above is included. A gift card is valid for two years from the day it was bought, and the date is printed on it.
A gift card can be used once, on one order, and only on distancemade.com. Gift cards from distancemade.no are in Norwegian kroner and can only be used there. If the poster costs more than the gift card, you pay the difference. If it costs less, the rest cannot be used later. A gift card cannot be exchanged for cash. If you bought a gift card and change your mind, you can cancel the purchase within 14 days as long as the card has not been used.
Ordering and payment
You make the poster yourself with the route, photos and text you choose, and you see a preview before you pay. The purchase is binding once the payment has gone through. You get a confirmation by email.
Payment is handled by Stripe, which processes your card details. We never see your card number. The amount is charged when you place the order.
Delivery
The digital poster arrives as a download link by email right after payment. The link works for three days. If it has run out, write to us and we'll send a new one.
Printed and framed posters are printed for each order by our print partner, as close to you as possible, and sent by post to the address you give. Expect the poster within 10 business days. If delivery is delayed, we'll tell you by email.
Last order dates for delivery before Christmas:
- United States: December 12
- Canada: December 11
- Australia: December 12
- New Zealand: December 8
- Norway: December 12
Right of withdrawal
Each poster is made to your specification: your route, your photos and your text. Personalised goods made to the buyer's specification are exempt from the right of withdrawal (Norwegian Cancellation Act, section 22 c). This applies to digital, printed and framed posters alike, so check the preview carefully before you pay.
This does not affect your right to complain about faults and defects, see below.
Complaints about defects
If the poster arrives damaged, misprinted or not as the preview showed, you have the right to complain. Under Norwegian consumer law the deadline is two years from when you received the poster. Tell us within a reasonable time after you notice the fault.
Email hello@distancemade.com with your order number or the email address you ordered with, and a photo of the fault if you can. For a fault or shipping damage we print and send a new poster at no cost to you, or refund the amount if you prefer.
Personal data
We use your details only to make and deliver your order. Read more in the privacy policy.
Disputes
Contact us first and we will usually find a solution. These terms are governed by Norwegian law. That does not take away any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country you live in. Buyers in Norway can also complain to Forbrukertilsynet (forbrukertilsynet.no).
